Glass
Special soft coat low emissivity glass with the lowest 'U' values are available for the inner pane. The outer pane can be chosen from one of our many glass types including solar control and low iron. Hand drawn or crown glass is available on application.
Gas
The most popular thermal insulation gas used in double-glazing is Argon and Krypton gas which will offer improved 'U' Values in narrower cavity units.

Putty
Whilst putty fronting is not an industry-recognised method for the glazing of insulating glass units we do acknowledge there are many situations where this may be called for and as such suggests the following methods may be of interest. We do not however recommend or guarantee the putty fronting of insulating glass units. For new joinery, the insulating glass units may be bedded against Hodgson Sealants Flexistrip and the void filled using Hodgson's Silfix U9 neutral cure silicone sealant.
